Loren Chaidez Promotion has been operational since 1984! The company handles National Club Promotion and represents artists from both major and independent labels. The target of club promotion is dance chart activity in Billboard Magazine.

Loren Chaidez is the President of the company with offices now located in Westchester County in New York State.

Loren, who is a native New Yorker (!), began his 30 year long career in the music business working at Discount Records (a national retail chain) in Scarsdale, New York from 1971 through 1977. He ordered and maintained inventory for the store and became knowledgeable of all genres of music ranging from classical to pop.

In 1977, Loren graduated from Manhattanville College (Purchase, New York) with a Bachelors degree in Music Education. In summer of ’77 he began his professional career at Columbia Records in the Press and Public Information Department (Publicity) and continued there until 1980.

Then, Loren moved to PolyGram Records, again in Publicity and very quickly migrated to the new role of Dance Music Promotion Director. Loren headed the Dance Department until 1984 promoting signed artists and their singles, and was instrumental in the A&R and signing of such acts as ABC, Central Line, Junior, Tears for Fears and others.

In 1984 Loren began his own independent promotion company and has continued successfully since then. Among his first projects was “West End Girls” by The Pet Shop Boys ! (See discography).

Over the years, Loren Chaidez Promotion has handled thousands of singles for many artists and has had hundreds of #1 recordings on the Billboard Dance chart. Loren also graduated from the New York Botanical Garden School of Horticulture in 2000 with a certificate in Commercial Horticulture. His areas of interest are in plant propagation, landscape design and plant pathogens & entomology.

Loren now resides and maintains offices in Bronxville, New York.
